Your entry into practice:

We are a teaching hospital of the University of Göttingen and accompany medical students on their way to licensure. As a maximum care hospital with 15 clinics and two institutes, we are the perfect place to learn for the practical parts of your studies.

Compulsory internship nursing

A compulsory internship in nursing is an obligatory part of medical studies in Germany. As a rule, it is the first practical assignment for medical students. We think nursing a little differently at KBR and want to actively work on changing the nursing profession. This also includes cooperation with medicine on an equal footing. Get an idea of this and apply for a compulsory internship at our hospital. You can find out everything you need to know about how to proceed under this link:

Clinical traineeship (Famulatur)

According to the licensing regulations, this is also a compulsory part of medical studies. A total duration of four months (120 calendar days) is prescribed. The clinical traineeship is to be completed after passing the medical examination and before the hammer examination. The clinical traineeship must be completed during the lecture-free period and consists of three components:

Hospital clinical traineeship

Practical clinical traineeship

Family physician's clinical traineeship

Our clinics and institutes are happy to accept applicants for a two-month hospital internship. Please contact the head secretaries of our clinics and centres for an application.
