Accessibility Statement

We strive to make our website barrier-free accessible.

The legal basis for this is the Bremen Disability Equality Act, Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance BITV 2.0 in their respective valid versions. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG) were used to assess accessibility . The accessibility test is based on the harmonized EU standard EN 301 549.

The digital accessibility of the website www.klinikum-bremerhaven.de was checked by the service provider netactive GmbH in accordance with the WCAG self-assessment. Furthermore, the Central Office for Accessible Information Technology subjected the site to simplified monitoring, in which selected criteria from the EN 301 549 standard were checked . The identified deficiencies have been corrected in the meantime.

In addition, our website provides information in plain language about content, operation and accessibility. Two videos convey our accessibility declaration in German sign language and present the content, operation and navigation of our website in German sign language. Both videos also have written subtitles.

This statement was created on September 20, 2021 and last revised on July 4, 2023.

The online forms have been created to be technically barrier-free. This is to ensure that the ability to make inquiries or requests, send applications, conduct content searches and complete registrations is not restricted.

Videos and films presented on this page are made available on the Bremerhaven-Reinkenheide Clinic's YouTube channel. From this page there is a link to the respective film on YouTube. There you can have subtitles displayed for the video.

The documents and PDF files are not barrier-free. As soon as a new version is created for a document, it is created barrier-free. The body compass is not accessible in that it does not contain descriptive alternative text and can only be operated with the mouse and not the keyboard. Unfortunately, this is not possible otherwise with the technology used.
