A new job profile is emerging
They have been around for many years in the USA and the Netherlands. In contrast, they are still quite new in Germany: we are talking about physician assistants or medical assistants. They are a valuable addition to our medical teams and perform medical services that can be delegated at the interface between physicians and nursing.
The advantage over studying human medicine: You can graduate as a Physician Assistant B. Sc. (Bachelor of Science) degree after only three years, whereas a medical degree takes considerably longer. Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences was one of the first providers of a Bachelor's degree programme in Physician Assistant (PA) in Germany. Good for you and for us: We are a cooperation partner of the Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. The practical parts of this course therefore take place at our premises - more details further down on this page.
Are you interested in studying Physician Assistant at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences? You can find more information and application options on the website of Bremerhaven University.
