New offer: Every semester we award two scholarships for students of human medicine who have completed the so-called Physikum.

Our hospital awards two scholarships per semester to students of human medicine who have successfully completed the Physikum. Applicants should also have a connection to Bremerhaven or the region or develop one during the term of the scholarship.

Conditions

The scholarship holders receive a grant of € 500 per month for a maximum of 36 months. For the tertial of the practical year completed with us, they receive the usual financial support for practical year interns of the KBR, however, at least € 500 per month.

In return, the scholarship holders undertake to complete at least two thirds of the practical year at KBR. In addition, they must work as a physician in the KBR for at least three years after passing their licence to practise medicine and begin further training as a specialist physician during this time.

Copy of the identity card

Copy of the certificate of higher education entrance qualification

Copy of the current certificate of enrolment at a university whose degree permits licensure as a physician in Germany.

Copy of the certificate of the passed first section of the medical examination (Physikum)

In addition, please state in your application whether you have received or applied for funding from other programmes.

Once the necessary requirements have been checked, applicants are invited to a personal selection interview. The selection committee consists of the management, two chief physicians and one assistant physician.
