Behind the scenes in medicine
Your future as a medical laboratory technician or medical laboratory technologist (MTL)
We have a partnership with the Bildungsakademie der Gesundheit Nord gGmbH (GeNo) in Bremen. This means that you will be employed by GeNo during your training and will complete the theoretical part of your training in Bremen. The practical assignments will take place in various laboratories, with the opportunity to gain valuable experience with us. We offer you exciting insights into all specialist areas, with the exception of histology.

What can you expect?
You can expect practical training in the forward-looking field of medical diagnostics.
You will gain insights into the various specialist areas and be able to directly apply the knowledge you have learned at the MTL school in practice. We are a large central laboratory and offer a wide range of analyses in the fields of haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, serology and immunohematology with our own blood donation service.
You independently analyse blood and bodily fluids, carry out microbiological tests and support doctors with accurate laboratory findings. In doing so, you make a decisive contribution to medical diagnostics and the resulting treatment without being at the patient's bedside yourself.
During your practical assignments, you will be accompanied by our qualified practical instructors. They will help you to link the theoretical knowledge you have learned with practical experience, preparing you for professional life and providing you with advice and support.
What should you bring to the table?
You are interested in medical and scientific topics
You enjoy working with modern technologies and equipment.
You are careful, responsible and conscientious in your work.
Teamwork comes naturally to you.
You have at least a secondary school certificate and are motivated and willing to learn.
